Womanova
This app was a beautiful result of the Information Systems Capstone Project achieved as a team of five girls.
Our client Mrs. Denise Howard from Weil Cornel Medical University wanted to display the content of her book, "The Essence of You : Your Guide to Gynecologic health" in form of an interactive and engaging hybrid app to reach more audience and spread awareness in a larger group.
Problem: There is a lack of awareness among individuals about different stages that a woman undergoes in her lifetime. A book alone isn't sufficient to reach the masses.
Solution: Build an hybrid app that is educational, interactive and serve the purpose of spreading awareness.
This app was built using the ionic framework, phpMyAdmin software tool and Wordpress Content Management System (CMS). Wordpress CMS was used to add/remove/update content in a timely manner which was then used to dispaly latest content on the app.
It was a semester long group project and was built from scratch to a fully develped hybrid app that was ready to be published on the both apple and android playstores.

Karwa
This project focused on addressing user concerns and providing a solution based on in-depth user studies. It was a semester long project which was divided into three parts:
- User Studies : Goals, Tasks and Barriers
- Architecture : Organization, Navigation and Labelling
- Communication : Visual/Verbal Interplay
The problems identified through user studies and "Whats on Your Radar" methodology were as follows:
- Uncomfortable travel due to smokey environment inside the cab
-Uncomfortable with over-friendly drivers
-Navigation issues non-functional GPS) etc
- Varied temperature preferences of the user
- Varied music preference when in cab
Solution: Give the users the option to customize their ride by predefining their requirements when making a booking.
Probelm Reports were made, label testing and user testing was conducted while developing the working prototype for this project.
To communicate to the users that the concerns were heard by the concerned authorities and were addressed to meet user requirements, a slider on the homepage was added communicating the new "Customize your ride" feature to the users. With this new feature a suitable driver that matches the requirements would be assigned to the user.

Freshmen (Tartan) Guide
This prototype was built to help freshmen map the ways that changes over time in order to quit being high school students and become university students.
This app would allow them to create a to-do list and help them track their progress, set alarms and notifications. It will also have a live chat option where one can discuss his/her concerns as a freshman student and get timely feedback on his/her performance.
There is also a points reward system to make it an engaging and interactive app. At set intervals it will also provide how their mental map has changed for good or bad and how it can be improved if needed.
